Meet Your Nadelhoffer Family Agency Brightway Insurance Team

Rebecca comes to Brightway with several years of experience as a teacher and coach. She holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Wheaton College (Ill.) and a master's degree in teaching from Aurora University (Ill.). She has served as an adjunct professor for many years, including eight years at Millikin University in Decatur, Ill.

Working side-by-side with her husband of 18 years, Rebecca enjoys helping people in the community get the coverage they need while providing state-of-the-art support and care. 

Her and her husband Matt have three children (Matthew, Natalie and Libby) and a soft-coated wheaton terrier (Rizzo). 

In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys exercising, attending her children's athletic and musical events, and spending time near the water. Her favorite past time is singing in the car with her children. 

As a Brightway Agency Owner, she knows her experience as a professor, coach and mom will help assist in building a trusting relationship with her clients as they determine their insurance needs.

Born and raised in DuPage County, Matt comes to Brightway with many years of experience as a coach. After spending eight years as the head men's basketball at Millikin University in Decatur, he joined the Elmhust men's basketball team as an assistant coach for the 2017-18 season. Matt spent time as a sales manager for a local tax firm in Chicago as well. 

He holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Wheaton College (Ill.) and a master's degree in teaching from Aurora University (Ill.). Matt was an All-American on Wheaton's basketball team and set an NCAA record for assists in an NCAA Tournament game with 20. After college, he played in the CBA and earned a tryout stint with the NBA's Miami Heat. Matt also played internationally in Croatia, Portugal, England, Spain, Ireland, Switzerland and Amsterdam.

Matt enjoys working side-by-side with his wife Rebecca at Brightway and looks forward to growing a great team at their agency. 

Rizzo is a 4-year-old male Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier that comes from a championship lineage in Michigan. He is named after Anthony Rizzo from the Chicago Cubs.

He is the Director of Security at Brightway, The Nadelhoffer Agency and his duties include, but are not limited to: Greeting all customers with a wagging tail and getting treats from our office neighbor. He is a great referral source for those looking for Pet Insurance.

Rizzo works 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and is  not available on weekends.

His hobbies include going on long walks with Mom, chasing squirrels and playing with the family.

Louis Wayne Nadelhoffer aka “Louie” joined the Brightway family in April and hit the ground running. He is a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Louie specializes as the Director of Pet Insurance and loves to greet all customers with the “Wheaten Greetin.” He works Monday-Friday 9-5 with a few naps/breaks during that time included.  His hobbies include communicating the importance of pet insurance for dogs and cats, going on long walks with Mom and of course chasing squirrels. Alongside my professional pursuits, I find joy in exploring the world with my wife, whether it's through travel adventures or peaceful hikes in nature.

As an avid runner with seven marathons under my belt, I thrive on challenges and pushing my limits both physically and professionally. Previously a partner in a small business, I have transitioned into the insurance industry where I am currently honing my skills as a licensed producer.

I am enthusiastic about embracing new opportunities and expanding my professional network to connect with like-minded individuals who share my drive for growth and development. Each day presents a chance to learn, evolve, and make a positive impact, and I am committed to seizing these opportunities with enthusiasm and determination.

Bear Nadelhoffer recently joined Team Nadelhoffer at Brightway Insurance. Bear is a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and was born in Erie, PA in May of 2025. He has hit the ground running as of just 3 months after birth he was offered and accepted a full time position.

Bear comes from championship lineage and will be tasked with overseeing all pet insurance quotes as well as greeting all office visitors. His office hours are Tuesday-Friday from 9-5 PM and you can forget weekends :) His hobbies include going on walks, taking rides in the Jeep with the top down, and watching Da Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs.

I'm originally from South Africa, born and raised, who recently moved to the United States with my family.

I've always enjoyed working with people and building genuine connections. With more than 15 years of experience in sales, customer service, and administration, I love listening to people, understanding what is important to them, and helping find solutions that meet their needs.

Outside of work, I'm a creative person who enjoys baking where I especially enjoy baking traditional South African treats like Malva Pudding & Milk Tart.
I love spending time with my family outdoors whether it's a bicycle ride, hiking or driving and exploring surrounding areas.
I often enjoy some online gaming where GTA Online is my go-to! I find that my Rocket Launcher is my solution to everything: SheHulk is my gamer tag which explains a lot lol.

I believe that insurance is about more than policies and paperwork—it's about people, relationships, and protecting the things that matter most, therefore I look forward to helping make the insurance experience as personal, simple, and comfortable as possible for every client.
