A native of South Florida, Patrick has spent his entire life in Palm Beach County. His family has long-standing ties to the area. His grandmother was born in Lake Worth, just a few miles from where the agency stands today. His grandfather, a land surveyor, worked on the construction of State Rd 80 (Southern Blvd) from West Palm Beach and Wellington down to what is now Loxahatchee. His Brightway Agency is located in the Nexus buildings, just west of the turnpike on Lake Worth road.
