ABILENE, TEXAS – As the American Cancer Society gears up for its annual celebration, the Abilene Cattle Baron’s Ball, the Dude Crew of men rallying support for cancer research is set to harness the “Power of Pink” to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research. This year, Benjamin Young, Owner of Brightway, The Young Agency, will join the crew in a good-natured battle for the title of Baron of the Year.
Benjamin will be participating alongside 19 other contestants in the Real Mean Wear Pink campaign, a competitive fundraising initiative. The campaign, which runs through Saturday, Oct. 12, challenges its contestants to raise money to be donated to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research. The contestant who successfully raises the most money will be crowned Baron of the Ball.
“Cancer is something that has affected the lives of everyone, whether the diagnosis is personal or it’s that of a family member or friend,” said Young. “I’m ecstatic for the opportunity to help end cancer through this fundraising event, and I’d love to have the help of our friends in the community.”
