JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Brightway has just learned that Florida Specialty Insurance Company (FSIC) was placed into receivership Oct. 2, 2019. This means that all FSIC policies will be canceled effective 12:01 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, unless you were otherwise notified that your policy was to be terminated prior to that date.

As an insurance agency, our obligation is to find our current FSIC customers replacement coverage. We are working on figuring that out right now.

If you are a Brightway customer with a Florida Specialty policy, we will be in touch with you by email, text, voicemail and U.S. Mail shortly to work with you to ensure you and your valuables are protected.

Because of the volume of customers affected, we respectfully ask Brightway customers to refrain from calling their agent or the Service Center at this time. We will be in touch with you to ensure you have coverage.

The Florida Department of Financial Services answers Frequently Asked Questions about FSIC on its website.
