TARGPON SPRINGS, FLA. — While the country’s response to the Coronavirus has caused many business operations to pause, Brightway Insurance remains committed to customers and to people who want to build their own business with the holistic support Brightway offers. The company is pleased to announce that residents in and around Tarpon Springs now can experience a better way to buy insurance for their homes, vehicles and much more. Husband and wife team, Jose Diaz and Monica Vega, will open Brightway, The Diaz-Vega Agency there Monday, May 11. While they are currently working from home because of the pandemic, they will work out of their new office at 1787 S. Pinellas Avenue, Suite 400 in Tarpon Springs (in the Tarpon Key Professional Centre) once things get back to normal.
“It was very important to us that as Independent Agents we could offer consumers choice in insurance brands so we could find them the right coverage to fit their needs. This made Brightway the perfect fit because we can offer even more choice,” said Diaz, who serves as the Principal Agent for the new Brightway Agency.
Diaz, who has lived in Pinellas County for 20 years brings two decades of sales and service experience to the agency. For the past two years, he was an Insurance Agent for AAA, where he quickly rose among the ranks to became one of top Agents in Florida. He also served honorably in the U.S. Army for 20 years and as a sworn law enforcement officer with the Puerto Rico Police Department for seven years. Diaz and Vega have been married 19 years and have a blended family with four sons.
Vega also worked for AAA, where she spent seven years as an Insurance Sales Operations Manager and eight as a Director of their travel contact center. Both Diaz and Vega speak fluent English and Spanish. For fun, they enjoy spending time with family and traveling together. As Brightway Agency Owners, they look forward to establishing close relationships in the community and being able to make a difference.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EDT) and Saturdays by appointment.
