What began as a dream to reach for the stars has Keller’s Susan Hildreth groomed for success. Next week, the University of Texas and Texas Christian University alum will launch Brightway, The Hildreth Agency in Southlake.
After a successful 15-year career in engineering and product management, as well as more than a decade of owning and operating her own successful pet grooming business, Posh Pets, the Dallas/Ft. Worth business pro unveils her latest venture this Tuesday; her very own insurance franchise through Brightway Insurance.
As a child, Hidlreth had dreams of being an astronaut. “I interned at Space Center Houston in college and enjoyed the practical aspects of engineering,” Hildreth said. “But the side of engineering I loved the most was more in the product marketing side of the industry.”
Quickly realizing she enjoyed the customer service aspect of her field, Hildreth would eventually go into business with her mobile dog grooming company.
“It really lit my fire for providing a service; meeting people where they were and helping them get what they needed,” Hildreth said.
Today, after more than a decade on the Lone Star State highways taking her business straight to the dogs, Hildreth has made the decision to open her second business in the Metroplex. “Although I was very successful with my previous business, I needed to walk away after injuries, and step into a role that would allow me to continue to work directly with customers.”
A daughter of retired U.S. Postal Service workers, the Friendswood High School (TX) grad (’90) and her husband, Jeff, live in Keller with their four children.
