Brightway names Amanda Hillier Employee of the Month for September 2021

Hillier is a Senior Accountant who has been with the company five months. She was selected as Employee of the Month for demonstrating the Core Value ‘Accountable.’

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Congratulations to Employee of the Month for September 2021, Amanda Hillier!

Hillier is the Senior Accountant for FirstCity Insurers. She has been with the company five months.

During a virtual ceremony to recognize Hillier, Vice President of FirstCity Insurers, Kris Azar, said: “Amanda joined the organization in late April of this year in the role of Senior Accountant for FirstCity Insurers. This was a new role on the FirstCity Team and because it was a new role on a very small team, there was no procedure manual or formal training program for Amanda. But that didn’t scare her – in fact, it energized her. She jumped right in and took the lead in getting the work done, in many cases developing the procedures and the tools as she was doing it.

“Amanda has taken on all of the accounting responsibilities for FCI and has relieved the Brightway Accounting team of a large workload burden. She’s proven herself to be a quick learner, relentless in pursuit of an answer or a solution, a team player and an absolute pleasure to work with. Our FCI team and the broader Brightway team is fortunate to have her.”

Brightway launched the Employee of the Month program in 2020 to give frequent recognition to employees who do fantastic work. The program recognizes three employees every month.

Honorees for the distinction receive a gift and a “thank you” message from Brightway’s Executive Leadership. They also move on to be considered for Employee of the Quarter.
