JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Brightway Insurance, a market-leading insurance retailer and one of the largest Personal Lines insurance agencies in the country, announced Jess Spendley as Vice President of Accounting Operations. In this role, Spendley joins the Executive Team of the fast-growing franchisor.
“In a traditional franchise system, revenues are collected from franchisees,” said Brightway Co-founder and CEO Michael Miller. “At Brightway, we collect hundreds of thousands of payments from hundreds of companies and we pay our franchisees using tools that make it easy for them to pay their people. It’s virtually unheard of and, under Jess’ leadership, it is accurate to the penny—literally.”
Spendley started at Brightway as an Accounting intern while attending the University of North Florida in Jacksonville in 2006. Later that same year, she joined Brightway full time and soon became an Accounting Manager in 2008. In 2010, the company promoted her to Director of Accounting, then to Senior Director of Accounting in 2017.
