Employee of the Quarter spotlight: Karma Jenks

How long have you worked at Brightway? I just celebrated my four years in April.

What is your favorite part of your job? I have a great team, and I love seeing them succeed. It makes my day when a customer takes time to tell me how grateful they are for them helping/educating them about their insurance.

What advice do you have for other employees? Maintain a good attitude. It’s too easy to complain about things, so try to stay positive. Also, keep learning. We work in an ever-evolving industry, so stay relevant.

What fictional family would you love to be a part of? The Rose family (Schitt’s Creek).

What would be the theme song to a movie about your life? “Wagon Wheel” (the Old Crow Medicine Show version). I’ll never get tired of this song!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? I know it’s cliché, but it is good advice and something my mom drilled into me, which is to treat others how you want to be treated. You never know what someone else is going through, so sometimes a little extra kindness can go a long way.
