Cabrera is a Senior Personal Lines Routing Specialist who has been with the company for more than eight years. Brightway named him Employee of the Quarter for demonstrating the Core Value ‘Smart.’

Eight and a half years.
What is your favorite part of the job?
Getting to work with my amazing team at Brightway.
What advice do you have for other employees?
Take care of your personal needs and health in every way possible. The time I’ve dedicated to my own mental health this past year has not only made an incredible difference in my work life at Brightway, it has made a difference in all aspects of my life.
What is the weirdest superstition you’ve ever believed in?
I’m not sure it’s the weirdest superstition, but I’ve been a big believer in never walking under a ladder to avoid years of bad luck. I still do my best to avoid them to this day!
If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I ‘d love to meet Sylvia Rivera. Her dedication and passion for trans liberation are so palpable in her speeches and conversations, I can’t imagine what meeting her in-person would be like. She has done so much for the queer community and I’d really like to thank her for her work which has allowed me to be the person I am today.
