LAKE ZURICH, ILL. — Local insurance agency, Brightway, The Janicki Agency, is teaming up with State Rep. Chris Bos (R-Lake Zurich), Versiti and Ela Township to host a blood drive Thursday, Dec. 16, in Lake Zurich.
“We’re thrilled to join Rep. Bos to bring the blood bank to the community and are grateful to Ela Township for hosting the event and to Versiti for bringing their resources to the community so it’s easy to donate. We still have a lot of appointments open, so if you can donate, please consider scheduling a few minutes of your day to do so. Your life-saving contribution will be truly appreciated,” said Brightway Agency Owner, Joseph Janicki.
Versiti will be accepting blood donations at the Ela Township Building located at 1155 East IL-22 in Lake Zurich Thursday, Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST. Culver's of Lake Zurich and Buffalo Creek Brewing in Long Grove will be giving a pint for a pint coupons to donors. Culver’s coupons will be for frozen custard, and Buffalo Creek Brewing’s coupons will be for a free beer.
In addition to the blood drive, Rep. Bos is collecting new items for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Those who wish to contribute may drop off or ship items directly to the Representative’s district office located at 92 East Main Street in Lake Zurich between Monday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Dec. 20. Donations will support children served by Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lake and Cook counties.
