As the nation prepares to celebrate its independence next week, one career military officer will see the American Dream he fought for become a reality in Greater Tampa. United States Marine vet Jerry Terrian will open the new Brightway, The Terrian Agency insurance office this Monday.
With more than a dozen of his military years spent serving as a Financial Management Officer with the Department of Defense, the Wesley Chapel resident has plenty of experience in the real-life numbers of the business world. However, it’s actually his first decade of service that catches the attention of most.
Terrian joined the military out of high school in August of 2001. “I was 18 years old in boot camp when the September 11, 2001 attacks on our country took place,” Terrian said. “During the first half of my career, there were multiple deployments to the Middle East serving with U.S. Special Operations Command. I had the honor to serve the second half of my career as a commissioned officer in Financial Management. The educational opportunities took off from there”.
A lifelong learner, Jerry is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in business administration and currently holds an MBA in financial management from Naval Postgraduate School and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida State University. Jerry and his wife, Meredith, live in Wesley Chapel with their three children.
