FORT MYERS, FLA. — Brightway Insurance, one of the largest Personal Lines independent insurance agencies in the U.S., presented Multi-unit Owners, Tyler Smith and Chris Mitchell of Brightway, The Smith & Mitchell Agency with locations in Fort Myers and Naples, with its 2020 New Agency Owner of the Year award and the 2020 Mover and Shaker award. The New Agency Owner of the Year award goes to the highest-producing Agency Owner (based on new property/casualty policies written) whose agency has a full year’s results on the books.  Smith and Mitchell opened their Fort Myers location in 2010 and due to their involvement in the Naples community and the demand they were experiencing in Naples, they proceeded to open their Naples location in 2019. The Mover and Shaker award goes to the Agency Owner whose agency moved up the greatest number of positions in new property/casualty policies written rank in the calendar year. Smith and Mitchell’s Agency moved up 156 spots in the rankings last year.  

Additionally, the company recognized Rachel Farmer from Brightway, Bonita Springs and Paolo Matita from Brightway, The Kassar Agency in Naples, as $1 Million Producers for producing more than $1 million in transacted property/casualty premium for the year. This is the second year in a row Farmer has earned the title.
