Objectives: Under supervision of the Manager of Marketing & Communications, research and develop copy/content for a wide variety of initiatives, meetings and projects
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and develop copy/content for internal employee, educational, human resources, and executive communications; support external communications on an as-needed basis
- Develop/modify communication plans and copy/content to support engagement in all appropriate channels including, but not limited to:
- Company intranet and web sites
- Social media
- Video
- Webinars
- Print displays, pamphlets and flyers
- Reports, manuals and other procedural documents
- Company-wide surveys, etc.
- Support the development of communication plans and copy/content designed to deliver on business needs and objectives; advance Brightway’s culture, core values and voice; and position Brightway as an employer of choice in the talent market
- Serve as a business partner and liaison between Marketing & Communications and Human Resources in the engagement of Brightway’s employees and associates in two-way communications and information sharing
- Manage ongoing workload effectively and efficiently, regularly checking email and other systems through which business partners request work; document and maintain calendars, status reports and checklists as required
- Develop relationships with internal sources and teammates to develop a comprehensive understanding of Brightway’s business model and a broader understanding of how your role contributes to the fulfillment of business goals
- Recognize the broader team and cross-functional implications of your work, ensuring output is complementary and not duplicative or conflicting
- Deliver superior service to internal constituents; act in a reliable, proactive, timely and collaborative manner; respect the confidentiality of information shared when required
- Document processes followed to ensure team members can replicate tasks accurately; contribute to the maintenance of process and procedure manual(s) for the area
- Proactively identify and propose process improvements to make the department more efficient and effective
- Seek opportunities to develop your skills and capabilities to grow your value to the organization and build your career path within Brightway
- Acts as a company liaison with the USPS, helping to improve efficiency in the relationship
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in a related field
- Superior customer service mindset; a desire and ability to deliver service that provides a high level of satisfaction
- Superior interpersonal skills; must be able to receive and deliver developmental feedback in a constructive and purposeful manner
- Superior verbal and written communicator; must be able to convey ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy; exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Excellent independent judgment and decision-making
- Ability to embrace and put into practice new concepts and skills; including learning and interacting with Brightway systems
- Superior ability to manage own time, activities and resources; model strong organizational skills
- Team player; must be able to contribute to the team and rely on others to achieve objectives
- Ability to attentively listen to, and incorporate, feedback
