At Brightway, our Insurance Account Representatives are heroes to our customers and to the business. In this role, you’ll identify our customers’ needs when reviewing, shopping and rewriting their policies, ensuring that they have continuous coverage while retaining their business.
The ideal candidate is personable, quick and accurate. Your focus will be on cultivating positive relationships with our customers, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions to them.
Objectives:
Under general supervision, the Insurance Account Representative services existing customers within the corporate book of business who need their policies reviewed/shopped/rewritten.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive inbound emails, phone calls and transfer calls
- Quickly and accurately identify customers’ needs
- Evaluate existing policy and, understanding customer’s need, accurately and succinctly present a course of action
- Cultivate positive relationship with customers
- Create and clearly present quotes tailored to customers’ needs
- Complete applications, conduct follow up with carriers
- Complete follow up with customers
- Enter all activity into appropriate systems
- Proactively share ideas for process, system and other improvements, ensuring we are effective and efficient
- Manages ongoing workload effectively and efficiently; using strong organizational skills, develops calendars and checklists for certain ongoing work
- Documents activities and follow up in appropriate systems regularly and accurately
- Documents processes followed in order to ensure tasks are able to be replicated accurately
- Listens to, and incorporates, feedback
Internal/External Relationships:
Plays a key role as the “face/voice of Brightway” to current customers. Participates as a member of the Marketing team. Works with all levels of the organization to promptly resolve issues to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Active insurance license (20-44 or 2-20)
- High school diploma
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in property/casualty insurance sales
- Commercial lines sales experience is a plus
- Knowledgeable about, and skilled in using, commonly understood sales techniques, processes and procedures
- Excellent understanding of the Brightway model and carriers represented
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy; exceptional attention to detail
- Superior customer service mindset; a desire and ability to deliver service that provides a high level of satisfaction
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communicator; must be able to convey ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent independent judgment and decision making
- Understanding of Brightway systems; regularly updates activities accurately
- Ability to learn, embrace and put into practice new concepts and skills
- Superior ability to manage own time, activities and resources; models behavior for others
- Team player; must be able to contribute to the team and rely on others to achieve objectives
- Competitive spirit, a desire to win and grow
- Demonstrate excellent work ethic, personal accountability and an ability to work well independently
