Under general supervision, provides copywriting support to a wide variety of company initiatives and owns ongoing meetings/projects.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Performs independent research in order to provide crisp, clear copy for a wide variety of communications initiatives
- Owns company’s ongoing communication programs including customer communication, newsletters, webinars, various reports, procedure and other manuals and surveys
- Owns company’s primary website, brightway.com, supporting it through ongoing copy updates as well as managing ongoing improvements
- Manages ongoing workload effectively and efficiently; using strong organizational skills, develops calendars and checklists for certain ongoing work
- Regularly checks email and other systems through which work is requested
- Fulfills requesters’ needs, ensuring satisfaction
- Proactively identifies process improvements that make the department more efficient and effective
- Documents activities and follow up in appropriate systems regularly and accurately
- Documents processes followed in order to ensure tasks are able to be replicated accurately
- Maintains process and procedure manual for the area
- Listens to, and incorporates, feedback
- Works as part of a team, ensuring work done is complementary and not duplicative or conflicting
- Acts as company’s liaison with USPS, helping to improve efficiency
- Handles video production as required
Internal/External Relationships:
Plays a key role as the “face/voice of Brightway” to internal and external customers. Participates as a member of the Marketing team. Works with all levels of the organization to promptly resolve issues to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in a related field
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy; exceptional attention to detail
- Superior customer service mindset; a desire and ability to deliver service that provides a high level of satisfaction
- Superior interpersonal skills; must be able to deliver developmental feedback in a way in which it is well received
- Superior verbal and written communicator; must be able to convey ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent independent judgment and decision-making
- Understanding of Brightway systems; regularly updates activities accurately
- Ability to learn, embrace and put into practice new concepts and skills
- Superior ability to manage own time, activities and resources; models behavior for others
- Team player; must be able to contribute to the team and rely on others to achieve objectives
