JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Jacksonville-based Brightway Insurance, named one of Northeast Florida’s Best Places to Work two years in a row, is making its Tuition Assistance program available to all employees who work at least 20 hours a week, regardless of tenure with the company. The change removes the requirement that an employee must work at Brightway for one year before becoming eligible for the program. Additionally, the company expanded the program to part-time employees who work at least 20 hours per week for the company.

“Brightway’s Tuition Assistance program is unique. You can choose any course of study you like, even if it is not related to your job, and qualify for Tuition Assistance,” said Brightway’s Senior Director of Human Resources. “We know the success of the organization is a direct result of our employees’ successes, so we’re expanding the program to help more of our people reach their personal potential.”

The company also enhanced its Short-Term Incentive program for Customer Service Representatives, so they are eligible from their start date. The bonuses start at $500, and grow up to $1,000 awarded twice yearly, when they achieve their goals in consecutive periods. Previously, a Customer Service Representative had to be employed with the company for six months to be eligible for the bonus program, but now new hires are eligible from Day 1, the first payment of which would be prorated from the employee’s start date. Customer Service Representatives must also meet quality, performance and attendance goals to be eligible for the program.

Brightway is actively recruiting to fill openings for the Customer Service Representative role and for many other positions within the growing company. The next Customer Service new hire training class will begin Jan. 18, 2021. Candidates who wish to apply should submit their applications by Dec. 25.
