Husband and wife team, Maurel Denge and Michael Peek, become new owners of local Brightway Insurance Agency

MIAMI, FLA — Maurel Denge and Michael Peek are the new owners of the Brightway Insurance Agency located at 9779 SW 72 Street, rebranded as Brightway, The Denge-Peek Agency. Brightway is one of the largest property/casualty agencies in the United States with locations in 21 states.

Peek brings more than 25 years’ insurance experience with him to the agency.

“The opportunity to own our own business with such extensive backend support was one we had to jump on,” said Peek. “Brightway’s system gives us the flexibility to focus solely on meeting our customers’ needs and building our business. We’re thrilled to join Brightway’s presence in Florida.”

Prior to joining Brightway, Peek oversaw several agency locations in Atlanta as an Allstate Operations Manager. Outside of the office, he is involved with his local church group. He also enjoys biking, golfing, mountain climbing, hiking and fishing and spending time with his wife and Co-owner, Maurel.

Denge is an experienced educator with nearly 20 years of experience in teaching, mentorship and business management. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts and Education from Kenyatta University in her hometown of Nairobi, Kenya, and went on to earn a master’s degree in Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
