SPOKANE, Wash. (Aug. 9, 2017) — Brightway Insurance will open its first location in Washington next week as veteran business man and now Brightway Agency Owner, Vays Sarwar, opens Brightway, The Sarwar Agency on Monday, Aug. 14, in Spokane.

While new to the Evergreen State, Brightway is one of the largest property/casualty independent insurance agencies in the United States.

Born in Afghanistan, Sarwar moved to Russia at age 3 then immigrated to the United States when he was 14. A 2005 graduate of John R. Rogers High School in Spokane, he went on to attend Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash., where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management. Sarwar comes to Brightway from the restaurant industry, where he spent the past 10 years in management. He and wife, Sara, of seven years have two sons. Sarwar loves camping, bowling and playing soccer and volleyball. He speaks fluent English, Russian, Pashto and Farsi. He looks forward to putting his management and leadership skills to use as a Brightway Agency Owner and to helping his friends and neighbors find the right insurance to provide total protection of their assets.
